Nice B&B here in Aviemore, the Dunroamin, with a good Scottish breakfast. As the birthday is continuing, Steve took me to the Cairngorm Hotel where we had lunch in a turret. It’s not a very big town so didn’t take long to rummage through all the shops and have a serious nap. Resting the legs for more climbing tomorrow. Might go out for a drink later on, but no more food!
Tomorrow we’ll have pedalled more than a thousand miles. I was calculating the feet climbed today, will be an interesting total I think. Steve has enjoyed his 60th birthday present and has decided now that he’s retired his ‘job’ is to do bucket list things going forward. I won’t complain about that!

Excited about this next section and quite frankly about being done, but also have to remind ourselves not to race to the end. This has been about the journey all along and this week is the culmination of a whole lot of hard work, and it’s supposed to be some of the most remote and most beautiful parts of the trip. Reminding ourselves to savour it all and don’t rush through it!

Can't wait to see this last week...its been an amazing trip so far! Thanx for sharing.
